Life Story

Linda was born on a Bank Holiday Monday on 3rd August 1964 to Marie and Patrick Byrne of Hillsbrook Drive, Perrystown, Dublin. She was born on St. Lydias Day but Mum won out and she was named Linda from the Spanish meaning "Pretty". She was a sister to Margaret, Michael, Thomas and Andrew. She attended St. Pauls Secondary School in Greenhills. She then went on to do a marketing degree in the College of Marketing. She went to live in the UK for 10 years but came back to Dublin in 1997 where she received her degree in teaching. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend and teacher and we are all so proud of her.

Milestones

  • 2000: H. Dip. in Teaching Having already received a degree in Marketing 10 years before she returned once more to Trinity College Dublin to obtain her Degree in Teaching and went on to study a further course in Special Needs and intended to go further to obtain a Masters Degree.

    Shared Memories

SHE IS GONE  from Marie and Pat Byrne

We can shed tears that she is gone, or we can smile because she has lived, we can close our eyes and pray that she will come back or we can open our eyes and see all that she has left. Our hearts can be empty because we cant see her, or we can be full of the love that we all shared, we can turn our backs on tomorrow and live for yesterday, or we can be happy for tomorrow bacause of yesterday we can remember her and ache that she has gone or we can cherish her memory and let it live on, we can cry, close our minds, be empty and turn our backs, or we can do what she would want, smile, open our eyes, love and go on. All our love forever and ever Linda. Mam and Dad xxxxxxxxx

Our Linda  from marie and pat byrne

Linda, our Golden flower, you were beautiful tender, lovely, our golden sunflower, deep rooted in the earth within our hearts, always touched by the warm rays of He who gave you life. We lay no claim or right to you our Golden flower, you were a bonus to our lives, growing in the walled garden of our hearts, and when winter falls within our hearts, we will withdraw to a sunny place and warm our frozen thoughts in the embracing radience of you our Golden flower. Love and miss you. Mam and Dad. xxxxx

My Favourite Auntie  from Hannah McPhail

Auntie Linda was my only Aunt and I always remember her helping me with my homework. I miss her every day and say a prayer to her every night - I hope she is my guardian angel now and is having a cup of tea with Nanna Rene and Gordon.
    Love you lots xxxxx

    My Favourite Auntie

A Wonderful Sister.  from Margaret McPhail

You always had a wonderful smile for everyone and never left without giving a kiss and a hug - life wont be the same without you Linda. Love always and forever. xxx
