About In Loving Memory

We are a new company, established in June 2008, and located in Donegal Ireland.

Traditionally in Ireland when a loved one passed away, neighbours and friends visited the home and surrounded the bereaved with love and support. This experience was known as the Irish wake. It became a place where people could contribute their stories and memories, where the story of a loved one would be retold and anecdotes shared. This provided great healing at times of grief.

However the wake has died out in many places and even where the tradition still exists, as people return to their busy lives, the healing support often ends. In Loving Memory uses the advances in modern technology and communication to bring the support of the wake online, by providing a space where we can share with each other, regardless of distance, memories of our loved ones, their personalities, and achievements.
